Dear Readers,

Welcome to Visit Estonia's June newsletter for the travel trade!

Midsummer is here! Towns and villages all around Estonia have events planned for the big celebration. So far this summer, Estonia has been a great place to come to escape the heat wave sweeping across the rest of the continent, though reports show that we may get some summer heat of our own just in time for Jaanipäev!

Art lovers can get their fix this summer with new exhibitions spread out all over the country. One of the most unique exhibits is located in an old fish processing factory looking out over the Gulf of Finland. It's a great stop to add to any tours along the North Coast, our featured region this month.

For the industry news in between newsletters, check out trade news on our website. Happy browsing!

Sincerely yours,

The Visit Estonia Team

Explore the Region: the North Coast

Visit North Estonia

Visitors to Estonia's North Coast will appreciate the forests, wildlife, historical towns, and fishermen's villages within a stone's throw of Tallinn. Pine tree groves surrounding long sandy beaches and nearby national parks provide quick day trips from Tallinn all year round.

Enjoy long scenic coastal walks while admiring northern Estonia’s limestone cliffs or enjoy a delightful seaside dining experience. During the summer season, a short boat ride takes you to tiny isolated islands, where you can spend a day cycling on rural roads or go even further out and look for Estonia's elusive seals.

Patarei Prison

Construction begins this year on the crumbling Patarei Prison. Set to finish in 2025, this notorious landmark will become a new business and event complex with a seaside promenade. The building currently houses a museum in remembrance of the political prisoners who were incarcerated there during the Soviet occupation.
